Flooded twice daily by ocean tides, saltmarshes provide critical habitat for fish and waterfowl. Even though under threat from rising sea levels and erosion, Delaware's wetlands still take up 25% of the state. This painting is the latest in my series, "Wetlands of the World", which I have been painting since 2008.

Size: 22" x 28" x 1" / 56 x 71cm
Medium: acrylic
Support: gallery wrapped canvas stretched and mounted on wooden bars.
Sides of the canvas are painted grey, allowing it to hung with or without frame.
A wire for hanging is attached.
Protective coat of satin varnish applied.
